Flickets is an app I designed as part of the Google UX Design Certificate Program. The prompt on which I worked on was to design a ticketing app for movie theaters.
The goal was to design an easy and straightforward app that allows users to book tickets to their movie of choice without getting stuck in the process. Carrying out these project I had the opportunity to develop my skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping and visual design aimed to mobile products.
For an in-depth case study and user research data of the project visit this link. For additional research such as user stories, storyboards and tasks map, click here.
Here’s some of my design process, starting from paper wireframes. The paper wireframes helped in finding quick ideas and solutions to address user pain points. The main goal was to find a way to allow user to quickly select the movie of their choice and moving swiftly to the checkout section. These ideas were then translated into digital wireframes on Figma.

These wireframes served to develop the first low-fidelity prototype, based on the primary user flow, allowing testing users to go from the movie selection or search to the final checkout and tickets visualization. The prototype is available here.
The first lo-fi prototype led to a usability study to test basic functions with selected users. The research findings are available here.
After conducting the usability study I developed an high fidelity mock up design.
Going into the hi-fi mockup I chose a color palette with vibrant yellow and red as accent colors while mantaining a toned down dark background. The colors were inspired by the ones you could find in a theater. Adding images and iconography helps give a better idea of the final product.

Here’s the link to the hi-fi prototype, to give an idea of what it would be like to navigate within the app.
The project is still under development so it may be subject to change and expansion over time.
